Library Board

THAT the Minutes of the May 24, 2022 meeting of the Library Board be approved as presented.

THAT a by-law be introduced to: a. Authorize and approve the Agreement between the Corporation of the County of Middlesex and the Library Board; and b. Authorize the Chair and Director of Library Services/CEO to execute the agreement.

THAT the establishment of a Friends of the Strathroy Library Reserve Fund account be authorized; THAT funds transferred from the Friends group be used to support the Strathroy Library; and THAT a letter be sent to the Canada Revenue Agency from the Board confirming the creation of the reserve fund and affirming that the funds will be used solely for the purposes of supporting the Strathroy Branch.

THAT a by-law be introduced to: a. Authorize and approve the Agreement between the Middlesex County Library Board and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, as represented by the Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario for funding under the Canada Community Revitalization Fund; and b. Authorize the Director of Library Services/CEO to execute the agreement.

THAT Middlesex County Disconnecting from Work Policy, HR Policy 1.16 be adopted and that the Middlesex County Library Policy Manual be updated.

THAT the attached quotation be approved and the Director of Library Services/CEO be authorized to execute the service agreement and any other documentation necessary to purchase the Open+ system from Bibliotheca.

THAT Items 6.a. to 6.f. be received for information.

THAT the by-laws be given first and second reading.

THAT the by-laws be given third and final reading.

THAT the meeting adjourn at 11:25 am.
